Abstract:
Productivity at PT Tata Bandar Samudera” Loading and unloading operational productivity is one of the key factors in supporting
the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in port service companies. However, several operational challenges are still encountered, including equipment
breakdowns, high downtime, and suboptimal human resource quality, which negatively
affect productivity levels and KPI achievement. This study aims to analyze the influence
of loading and unloading operations and KPI achievement on productivity at PT Tata
Bandar Samudera. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. Data
were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees directly involved in
loading and unloading activities. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression
analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results indicate that loading and unloading operations have a positive and significant
effect on productivity, with a regression coefficient of 0.441 and a significance value of
0.000. KPI achievement also has a positive and significant effect on productivity, with a
regression coefficient of 0.555. The regression equation obtained is Y = -4.528 + 0.441X1 + 0.555X2 + e. Simultaneously, loading and unloading operations and KPI achievement
significantly influence productivity. Furthermore, KPI achievement is identified as the
most dominant variable affecting productivity, with a standardized beta coefficient of
0.620, which is higher than the beta coefficient of loading and unloading operations at
0.391. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that improving loading and unloading
productivity at PT Tata Bandar Samudera is influenced by equipment readiness, reduced
downtime, competent human resources, and optimal KPI achievement. Therefore, the
company is recommended to strengthen its preventive maintenance system and
continuously enhance employee competencies to support sustainable productivity
improvement and KPI attainment.
