Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the influence of waiting list management optimization
on the company's response speed in fulfilling urgent crew requests, and to evaluate the
extent to which the implementation of standardized crew replacement procedures can
improve crewing operational effectiveness at PT Mitra Samudra Sejati. This research
employs a quantitative approach using a survey method with a Likert-scale questionnaire
distributed to 40 respondents who are staff of PT Mitra Samudra Sejati, using a saturated
sampling (census) technique. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 29.0 through
validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, Pearson correlation coefficient analysis,
simple linear regression, hypothesis testing (t-test), and the coefficient of determination.
The results show a very strong positive relationship between Ship Crew Management
Standardization (X) and Crewing Operational Effectiveness (Y), with a correlation
coefficient of 0.901. The resulting regression equation is Y = 4.980 + 0.842X, with a
calculated t-value of 12.784, greater than the t-table value of 1.686 at a significance level
of < 0.001, indicating that the research hypothesis is accepted. The coefficient of
determination (R Square) of 0.811 indicates that the Ship Crew Management
Standardization variable contributes 81.1% to Crewing Operational Effectiveness, while
the remaining 18.9% is influenced by other factors outside this study. Based on these
findings, it is concluded that ship crew management standardization, particularly in
waiting list management and crew replacement procedures, has a significant effect on
crewing operational effectiveness at PT Mitra Samudra Sejati.
