Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the effect of crew sign-off schedule mismatch on compliance
with the contents of the Seafarers’ Employment Agreement (SEA) at PT. BSI Manajemen
Indonesia, as well as to identify the factors causing the mismatch in the schedule. The
research used a quantitative method with data collection techniques through observation,
documentation, and questionnaires distributed to 50 respondents. Data analysis was
carried out using validity tests, reliability tests, correlation coefficient, coefficient of
determination, simple linear regression, and hypothesis testing with the assistance of IBM
SPSS Statistics. The results showed that all research instruments were valid and reliable.
The correlation coefficient value of 0.917 indicates a very strong relationship between
crew sign-off schedule mismatch and compliance with the SEA. The coefficient of
determination (R Square) of 0.841 shows that 84.1% of SEA compliance is influenced by
crew sign-off schedule mismatch, while 15.9% is influenced by other factors outside the
study. The regression equation Y=7.078+0.843XY = 7.078 + 0.843XY=7.078+0.843X
indicates a positive effect. The hypothesis test proved that crew sign-off schedule
mismatch has a significant effect on compliance with the SEA. Therefore, the company
needs to improve planning and management of crew rotation schedules to support SEA
compliance and the smooth running of company operations.
