PENGARUH USAFE ACTION DAN USAFE CONDITION TERHADAP KECELAKAAN KERJA PADA AWAK KAPAL DI PT PERTAMINA INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of unsafe actions and unsafe conditions on work accidents among ship crews at PT Pertamina International Shipping. The background of this research is based on the high number of work accidents in maritime operations, which are caused by unsafe behavior and unsafe working conditions that do not meet safety standards. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires, observations, and literature studies. The sample consists of 50 respondents who are ship crew members. The collected data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, as well as multiple linear regression analysis to determine the relationship and influence between variables. The results show that unsafe actions have a significant effect on work accidents, and unsafe conditions also have a significant effect. Simultaneously, unsafe actions and unsafe conditions have a strong influence on the occurrence of work accidents among ship crews. Based on the results, it can be concluded that unsafe condition is the most dominant factor affecting work accidents. Therefore, the company should prioritize improving workplace conditions and strengthening occupational safety supervision.
