Abstract:
This study aims to analyze and prove the magnitude of the influence of ship and cargo service data
digitalization on the effectiveness of the port clearance process at PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental
Agency Operation Panjang. Service quality in the port administration system has now transformed
into an integrated digital ecosystem through the INSW and Inaportnet platforms to improve the
operational efficiency of ship agencies. The research method used is a quantitative method with a
descriptive and associative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through
observation, documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires to 40 respondents who are
operational personnel at PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental. Data analysis used includes
descriptive statistical analysis, validity tests, reliability tests, correlation coefficient analysis, and
simple linear regression analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 software. The results of the
study indicate that the digitalization of ship and cargo service data has a positive and significant
influence on the effectiveness of the port clearance process. This is evidenced by the correlation
coefficient (R) value of 0.833, which shows a unidirectional relationship in the very strong
category, as well as a coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.694, which means the
digitalization variable provides a dominant contribution of 69.4% to service effectiveness. The
results of the hypothesis test (t-test) also show that the t-value (9.291) > t-table (2.024) with a
significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that the better the implementation of data
digitalization, the more effective the port clearance process performed. Therefore, the company is
expected to continue optimizing technological infrastructure and improving human resource
competence to reduce ship idle time and avoid the risk of late fees (demurrage).
