Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of the availability of pilotage and towing facilities on the improvement of services at PT Langlang Laju Layang in the Weda work area. Pilotage and towing operations are crucial in ensuring the smoothness, safety, and efficiency of port operations. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through field observations, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to operational staff and service users. The results of the study show that the availability of adequate facilities, such as tugboats, pilot boats, docking facilities, and communication equipment, significantly influences the speed and accuracy of services. Additionally, an organized work system and the preparedness of human resources are key supporting factors. These findings indicate the need for optimizing operational facilities to enhance the competitiveness and satisfaction of port service users.
