Abstract:
Fauzia, Najwa Azizul. 2025. "The Impact of Spare Part Procurement Delays on Planned
Ship Docking Maintenance at PT Arghaniaga Pancatunggal.”
Maritime transportation plays a critical role in underpinning the global economy, and PT
Arghaniaga Pancatunggal, as an active participant in this sector, must ensure vessel safety
through meticulously planned docking maintenance. The efficacy of this maintenance is
intrinsically linked to the timely acquisition of necessary spare parts. This research
endeavors to analyze the influence of delays in spare part procurement on the scheduled
docking maintenance of ships at PT Arghaniaga Pancatunggal. Employing a quantitative
research design with simple linear regression analysis, the study gathered primary data
through questionnaires administered to 38 respondents, comprising both ship crew and
shore-based employees, drawn from a target population of 60 individuals. The statistical
analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between spare part procurement delays
and planned ship docking maintenance (r = 0.754, p < 0.05), indicating that 56.8% of the
variance in maintenance outcomes can be attributed to these procurement delays. The
study recommends the strategic implementation of an integrated Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP) system to optimize the synchronization of spare part procurement and
maintenance schedules, thereby enhancing operational timeliness. Furthermore, it
advocates for the cultivation of stronger, more collaborative relationships with suppliers
to proactively mitigate the occurrence and impact of procurement delays. Ultimately, this
research offers valuable empirical insights for enhancing operational efficiency and the
strategic management of spare part acquisition within the broader maritime industry
