Abstract:
Marine pollution due to oil waste from ships and port operations is an environmental
problem, making the availability and utilization of Reception Facilitiy (RF) a crucial
aspect in optimal oil waste management. This study aims to determine and analyze the
relationship and influence of Reception Facility (RF) use on Oil Waste Management at
Tanjung Priok Port.
The research employed a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire distributed to 45
respondents, selected using the Slovin Formula. Data were analyzed using descriptive
statistics, instrument testing, simple linear regression, correlation, determination, and
hypothesis testing.
The results showed that Reception Facility (RF) use had a very strong, positive, and
significant influence on oil waste management at Tanjung Priok Port, with a very strong
correlation of 0.870. The analysis revealed that Reception Facility (RF) use had a 75.6%
influence on oil waste management. Validity testing demonstrated that all statement items
were valid, and reliability achieved a Cronbach's Alpha value above 0.60. The regression
coefficient of 0.876 means that every one unit increase in the use of the Reception Facility
(RF) will increase oil waste management by 0.876 units. This study concludes that
optimizing the use of the Reception Facility (RF), especially in the dimensions of service
procedures and waste storage, needs to be a priority to increase the effectiveness of Oil
Waste Management at Tanjung Priok Port.
