Abstract:
Coal transhipment activities in open waters are frequently challenged by fleet scheduling
uncertainties, asset allocation constraints, and inefficiencies arising from manual
coordination systems. This study aims to analyze the influence of implementing the Cargo
Scheduling Application (CSA) on the effectiveness of coal loading and unloading
activities at PT. Pelayaran Sinar Shipping Indonesia. The research method utilized a
quantitative approach with a sample size of 30 respondents. Data collection was carried
out through questionnaires that had been validated and tested for reliability. The data
analysis techniques applied included correlation analysis, coefficient of determination
analysis, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing (t-test) using SPSS
software. The correlation analysis results indicated a strong relationship between the two
variables, with an r value of 0.664. The coefficient of determination analysis yielded an
R-Square value of 0.441, indicating that the implementation of CSA contributes 44.1%
to the effectiveness of coal loading and unloading, while the remaining 55.9% is
influenced by external factors outside the model, such as weather conditions, physical
maintenance of floating cranes, and the competence of field human resources. The
regression equation obtained was Y = 17.605 + 0.608X. Based on the hypothesis test, the
tcount value of 4.699 was greater than the ttable value of 2.048 with a significance level of
0.01 < 0.05, thereby rejecting H0 and accepting Ha. This study concludes that the
implementation of the Cargo Scheduling Application (CSA) has a positive and significant
effect on the effectiveness of coal loading and unloading activities at PT. Pelayaran Sinar
Shipping Indonesia.
