dc.description.abstract This study aims to develop a digital ship log reporting prototype named N-Cord to enhance the integrity, accuracy, and security of ship log data in accordance with STCW 1995 Chapter VIII on Watchkeeping. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a prototype development model using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation, and limited testing involving 20 Nautical cadets who have completed onboard practice. Data analysis included evaluation of prototype functionality, feasibility scoring by expert validators, and user feedback to assess system effectiveness and accessibility. The results indicate that the N-Cord prototype, developed using the low-code platform Emergent.sh and operated through the Expo Go application, successfully implements Logic Locking and Automated Timestamping features to ensure immutable and verified real-time data. Expert validation achieved a feasibility score of 92%, while user testing reached 95.2%, categorizing the system as “Highly Suitable” for secure, transparent, and efficient ship log recording. The system supports input of navigation data, operational activities, and real-time monitoring through a simple yet functional interface, enhancing accountability and compliance with international maritime standards. en_US
