dc.description.abstract Occupational safety on board ships is a crucial aspect in supporting operational continuity and preventing workplace accidents. However, in practice, various accidents still occur due to weak supervision, non-compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and work fatigue conditions. This study aims to analyze the supervision of deck ratings and identify the factors causing occupational accidents on board. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation during sea practice. Data analysis was conducted using the fishbone diagram method to identify root causes of problems based on human, method, material, management, and environmental factors. The results show that occupational accidents are influenced by low safety awareness among crew members, non-compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), weak supervision, unsafe working conditions, and fatigue due to long working hours. The conclusion of this study indicates that improving occupational safety can be achieved through optimizing supervision, enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) discipline, enhancing work communication, and managing crew fatigue. en_US
