Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Vessel Network System on crew data
information management at PT Pertamina International Shipping. The system
encompasses fleet connectivity integration, digital document validity through personal
data features within the crew poll, and operational progress visualization using Gantt
Chart in accordance with corporate digitalization standard. Information accuracy. In this
study, data were collected through observation, documentation, and the distribution of
questionnaires to crewing division staff and relevant personnel at PT Pertamina
International Shipping. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistical methods
and simple linear regression to measure the strength of the relationship and the
contribution of the Vessel Network System effectiveness (X) toward crew data
information management (Y).
The result indicate a significant influence of the Vessel Network System effectiveness on
crew data information management at PT Pertamina International Shipping. This is
evidenced by a coefficient of determination (R
2
) of 0,699 or 69,9%, signifying that the
Vessel Network System variable contributes 69,9% to the quality of information
management, while the remainder is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this
study. With a significance value of 0,000> 0,05, it is concluded that the more optimal the
features of the Vessel Network System are utilized, the more efficient the management
of crew data becomes. In conclusion, the strengthening of this digital system must be
balanced with proficient user competence to ensure data accuracy. Therefore, it is
recommended that management enhance intensive training and socialization programs
for both ship crews and system administrators to minimize administrative constraints
caused by human error and technical unfamiliarity with the applications.
