dc.description.abstract Recording ballast water operation data on board is an international obligation under the BWM (Ballast Water Management) Convention Regulations. On MV. COSMO GLORIA, the Ballast Record Book (BRB) recording process is still carried out manually using physical logbooks. This conventional method carries a high risk of data loss due to physical damage to the book, human error by the crew, and difficulties in tracking data history quickly during Port State Control (PSC) inspections. This study aims to design an integrated Digital Ballast Record Book system to minimize the risk of data loss and improve administrative efficiency on board. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Waterfall system development model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, software design, system testing, and implementation. The result of this research is a web-based/local desktop digital BRB application equipped with data encryption features, automatic ballast volume recording, and secure cloud-based or local automatic backup functions. The implementation of this system is expected to prevent the loss of critical ballast operation data, assist ship officers in accurate data entry, and support MV. COSMO GLORIA's compliance with international maritime regulations. en_US
