This study is motivated by the suboptimal implementation of the Vessel Network System
(Venus) application in managing crew data, which affects the smoothness of the crew
change process at the PT Pertamina Marine Solutions. This research aims to determine
the effect of the system implementation on crew change efficiency and to indentify
existing constraints. The theoretical framework includes concepts of influence,
implementation, informations systems (Venus), anda crew management. This study
employs a quantitative approach using saturated sampling with 50 respondents consisting
of crew members and company staff. Data were collacted through questionnaires,
observation, and documentation, and analyzed using validity, reliability, correlation,
determination, simple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that
the implementation of the Vessel Network System (Venus) has a positive and significant
effect on the crew change process, with a significance value of 0,001 < 0,05 and a t-value
of 15,572 > 2, 012. The correlation coefficient of 0,914 indicates a very strong
relationship, while the coefficient of determintation of 83,5% shows that most of the crew
change performance is influenced by the system implementations. In conclusion, the
better the implementation of the Venus application, the smoother the crew change
process. Therefore, improvements in system quality and user compliance are necessary
to optimize operational effectiveness. |
