dc.description.abstract This research was motivated by the decrease in Sea Water Cooling System pressure in the diesel generator on MV Rawabi 216, followed by an increase in engine and lube oil temperatures, causing overheating and reducing diesel generator performance. Operational data showed that the cooling system pressure decreased from 2.3–2.5 bar to 0.8–1.4 bar, while the freshwater temperature increased from 77–79°C to 104°C and the lube oil temperature increased from 82–85°C to 119°C. Therefore, this study aimed to test two hypotheses, namely the effect of Sea Water Cooling System pressure on diesel generator performance (H1) and the effect of engine temperature on diesel generator performance (H2). This study used a quantitative approach with observation and documentation methods. Data were obtained from recording diesel generator operational parameters in the Engine Control Room (ECR) during March 23–27, 2026, consisting of 20 observation data. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics version 29 through Pearson correlation, multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that Sea Water Cooling System pressure had a very strong negative relationship with diesel generator performance, with a correlation value of -0.996 and significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, therefore H1 was accepted. Engine temperature had a very strong positive correlation of 0.990, but partially it was not significant with a significance value of 0.090 > 0.05, therefore H2 was rejected due to multicollinearity. The coefficient of determination value of 99.3% indicated that both variables affected diesel generator performance. en_US
