Simbolon, Rosiana. 2025. "The Effect of Delayed Ship Survey Reports on the
Performance of Surveyors at PT. Makara Jaya Marine”
This study aims to determine the effect of delays in ship survey reports on the
performance of surveyors at PT. Makara Jaya Marine. The background of this study is
based on the increasing demand for ship survey services that is not proportional to the
number of available workers, resulting in frequent delays in the completion of reports.
This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection
techniques were conducted through observation, documentation, and the distribution of
questionnaires to 44 respondents consisting of employees and users of ship survey
services. Data analysis was performed through validity testing, reliability testing,
correlation coefficient analysis, simple linear regression analysis, determination
coefficient analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that there is a significant
influence between the delay in ship survey reports and the performance of surveyors with
a correlation coefficient of -0.813, indicating a very strong relationship, and a coefficient
of determination of 66%. This indicates that 66% of the performance of surveyors is
influenced by the delay in survey reports, while the remaining 34% is influenced by other
factors. Based on these results, it can be concluded that delays in survey reports have a
significant impact on surveyor performance. |
