PENGARUH PENERAPAN APLIKASI SIMKAPEL TERHADAP PELAYANAN PENERBITAN SURAT LAUT DI KSOP UTAMA TANJUNG PERAK SURABAYA

Budiarti, Kinanti. 2025. ‘’Pengaruh Penerapan Aplikasi SIMKAPEL Terhadap Pelayanan Penerbitan Surat Laut Di KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak Surabaya’’ This study aims to examine the influence of the SIMKAPEL (Ship and Seafarer Management Information System) application on the issuance service of the Ship Registry Certificate at KSOP Utama Tanjung Perak Surabaya. The main problems addressed include server failures, users’ lack of understanding, inadequate technical training for staff, and the absence of support personnel during the service process. A quantitative approach was used. The population consists of 100 service users, all of whom were taken as the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, documentation, literature study, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression, correlation test, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing via SPSS software. The results indicate that the implementation of the SIMKAPEL application has a positive and significant effect on the service of issuing Ship Registry Certificates. The coefficient of determination value of 79.2% demonstrates that SIMKAPEL contributes substantially to service performance improvement. SIMKAPEL proves to be effective when accompanied by adequate training and socialization. In conclusion, the optimal use of SIMKAPEL can enhance service quality at KSOP. The study recommends improving server capacity, increasing outreach and stakeholder engagement, conducting regular staff training, and assigning support personnel at service points.
