ANALISIS KEDISIPLINAN TENAGA KERJA BONGKAR MUAT TERHADAP KEPATUHAN DALAM PENGGUNAAN ALAT KESELAMATAN KERJA DI MV. INLACO BRIGHT

Inlaco Bright” This study discusses the importance of stevedore discipline in using safety equipment at the Special Terminal of PT. Gunbuster Nickel Industri (GNI), particularly during coal unloading operations on MV. Inlaco Bright. The main issue raised is the low level of discipline and compliance among stevedores in using personal protective equipment, which affects both safety and operational efficiency. This research applies a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, literature review, and questionnaires distributed to 32 respondents. Data were analyzed using the SWOT approach (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) along with the interpretation of questionnaire results. Based on the SWOT analysis, the coordinates X = 0.32 and Y = –0.53 were obtained, indicating a position in the diversification strategy quadrant, where internal strengths outweigh external threats. This suggests that the company has the potential to grow by utilizing its strengths to overcome challenges. The study recommends improved supervision, sufficient safety equipment provision, and continuous training programs to build a stronger safety culture in the port environment.
