The migration of the Sistem Informasi Manajemen Lalu Lintas Angkutan Laut (SIMLALA)
application to version V2.0 which had an impact on the process of issuing Persetujuan Keagenan
Kapal Asing (PKKA) letters at PT. Serasi Shipping Indonesia.
The aims of this research are to find out (1) Why is the application of the Sistem Informasi
Manajemen Lalu Lintas Angkutan Laut (SIMLALA) during migration not optimal? and (2) How can
the process of issuing a Persetujuan Keagenan Kapal Asing (PKKA) letter be hampered during
migration?
The research uses a qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive methods and primary
data as a source of data obtained from interviews and observations. The data analysis technique in
this research uses descriptive explanation by utilizing qualitative data that has collected.
The results of this research show that (1) There are several factors that cause the Sistem
Informasi Manajemen Lalu Lintas Angkutan Laut (SIMLALA) application to be not optimal, one of
which is inadequate preparation by the application migration organizers. Fortunately, application
non-optimization only had a minimal negative impact on PT. Serasi Shipping Indonesia. (2) The
process of issuing a Persetujuan Keagenan Kapal Asing (PKKA) during the application migration
period becomes quite complicated and takes longer than usual. The solution to this problem can be
overcome by making a report on the list of blocked foreign ships, preparing supporting documents
for manual submissions, and reporting problems to the application migration organizer. |
