dc.description.abstract This study aims to analyze and improve the performance of the food refrigeration system (provision refrigerator) aboard the MV. Glovis Diamond. Refrigeration machines play a crucial role in maintaining food quality during voyages. Based on observations conducted during the sea practice period, two main issues were identified: an increase in seawater outlet temperature at the condenser and leakage in the refrigeration system pipes. The temperature rise was caused by blockages due to dirt inside the condenser pipes, while pipe leakage resulted from deteriorating pipe quality or internal clogging. The research utilized a descriptive qualitative method through direct observation and documentation study. The analysis showed that these problems directly affected the cooling performance, causing the storage temperature to deviate from optimal levels and leading to food spoilage. Scheduled maintenance and system repair are essential solutions to maintain refrigeration efficiency. This study is expected to serve as a reference for marine engineers in handling similar issues to ensure food quality and uninterrupted ship operations. en_US
