Arnanda, Arsil Dwi. 2026. “Rancang Bangun Sistem Sensor Berbasis Internet of Things Guna Meningkatkan Efektivitas Monitoring Suhu Muatan Pada Kapal Bulk Carrier” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem sensor berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) guna meningkatkan efektivitas monitoring suhu dan kelembapan muatan pada kapal bulk carrier. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah proses monitoring suhu dan kelembapan muatan batu bara yang masih dilakukan secara manual oleh kru kapal sehingga belum mampu memberikan pengawasan yang optimal, kontinu, dan real-time selama pelayaran. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan keterlambatan deteksi terhadap peningkatan suhu dan kelembapan yang dapat menyebabkan self-heating, kerusakan muatan, serta membahayakan keselamatan kapal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&amp;D) melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, perancangan sistem, pembuatan alat, pengujian, dan evaluasi sistem. Sistem yang dikembangkan menggunakan sensor SHT31-D, mikrokontroler ESP32, protokol MQTT, LCD 16x2 I2C, dan buzzer sebagai sistem peringatan dini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu melakukan monitoring suhu dan kelembapan secara otomatis dan real-time dengan delay pengiriman data rata-rata 1–2 detik. Sensor juga memiliki tingkat akurasi yang baik dengan nilai error yang masih berada dalam batas toleransi. Sistem mampu memberikan peringatan dini ketika suhu dan kelembapan melebihi batas yang telah ditentukan. Dengan demikian, sistem monitoring berbasis IoT yang dikembangkan terbukti mampu meningkatkan efektivitas monitoring muatan pada kapal bulk carrier.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Smart Cargo Monitoring based on the Internet of Things (IoT) in supporting the accuracy of the ullaging process on MT Patra Tanker 2. The problems addressed include the continued dominance of manual ullaging methods using sounding tape, which are prone to reading and recording errors, as well as the absence of an IoT-based automated cargo monitoring system capable of providing real-time and integrated liquid level data.This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, conducted during a sea practice period on board MT Patra Tanker 2 from August 2024 to August 2025. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with ship officers and crew, and documentation including sounding records, cargo reports, and ship operational data. The findings indicate that the ullaging process on MT Patra Tanker 2 is still performed manually and heavily dependent on operator accuracy, making it susceptible to human error and environmental factors such as ship vibration and wave conditions. The absence of an IoT-based automated monitoring system means that liquid level data can only be obtained periodically rather than continuously. This study proposes a solution through the development of an IoT- based Smart Cargo Monitoring system utilizing components such as a TF Luna LiDAR sensor, ESP32 microcontroller, and the Blynk application, which can deliver real-time cargo level information via smartphone. It is recommended that the company gradually implement an IoT-based monitoring system, provide adequate supporting facilities, and conduct crew training to optimize the use of this technology in tanker operations.

This study aims to examine the effect of SINKARKES Service Digitalization (X₁) and HR Competence (X₂) on the Efficiency of Ship Document Processing (Y) at PT Garuda Unggul Nasional. The research methodology applies a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to a sample of 40 operations division employees. The researcher selected the sample using the Slovin formula from a total population of 45 employees. Data analysis in this study uses multiple linear regression through SPSS software.&#13;
The partial test results (t-test) show that SINKARKES Service Digitalization (X₁) does not have a significant effect on the Efficiency of Ship Document Processing, indicated by a t-value of 0.509 and a significance level of 0.614 &gt; 0.05. Conversely, HR Competence (X₂) exerts a dominant, positive, and significant effect on the Efficiency of Ship Document Processing with a t-value of 4.199 and a significance level of 0.000 &lt; 0.05. Simultaneously (F-test), SINKARKES Service Digitalization and HR Competence together significantly affect the Efficiency of Ship Document Processing with an F-value of 16.985 and a significance level of 0.000 &lt; 0.05. The R Square value of 0.479 indicates that these two independent variables contribute 47.9% to the variation in document processing efficiency, while the remaining 52.1% stems from other variables outside this research model. Corporate management needs to optimize digital infrastructure and conduct continuous training to address network disruptions and maintain the dominant impact of employee competence in field operations.

Coal cargo transported by bulk carrier vessels is susceptible to self-heating due to the&#13;
oxidation process. This condition can lead to rising temperatures, the formation of&#13;
hazardous gases, and even fires inside cargo holds if not detected at an early stage.&#13;
During sea practice aboard MV. Noah Gracia, the monitoring of cargo temperature&#13;
and air conditions inside the holds was still carried out manually through direct&#13;
inspections by the crew. This method has several limitations, including delays in&#13;
identifying changes in cargo conditions and an increased risk of crew exposure to&#13;
hazardous gases. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data&#13;
collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The&#13;
research focused on analyzing the weaknesses of the manual ventilation system and&#13;
examining the importance of implementing an automatic ventilation system&#13;
supported by temperature and gas sensors. The findings indicate that the manual&#13;
system is unable to provide continuous and real-time monitoring of cargo hold&#13;
conditions, thereby increasing the risk of self-heating. Furthermore, direct&#13;
inspections inside the cargo hold may endanger crew members due to potential&#13;
exposure to toxic gases. Therefore, the implementation of an automatic ventilation&#13;
system based on temperature and gas sensors can serve as a more effective solution&#13;
by continuously monitoring hold conditions, providing early warnings when&#13;
abnormal temperature increases or hazardous gas concentrations are detected,&#13;
reducing human error, and enhancing both cargo safety and crew safety during&#13;
&#13;
voyages. Consequently, the application of this technology can help prevent self-&#13;
heating incidents in coal cargo carried aboard MV. Noah Gracia.
